Race for the Cure Fort Worth

On Saturday, Eddie and I ran the one 5K we always do each year, Fort Worth Race for the Cure.  So many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer.  My aunt, suffered with this for 17 years before she finally couldn't fight it anymore.  I also have friends who have been diagnosed with it, but are now survivors!

This is one where I serve as the team captain for Birdville ISD for the last two years and even though I'm no longer working there, I plan to keep doing it.  I hope to recruit more people to join our team next year.  It's so great to see all the pink everywhere and all survivors walking and running this 5K all for a great cause.  I just pray and hope that some day they will find a cure.
