Today was going to be a busy day for we had to get ready for my niece, Mariah Sweet 15 party. Between running, getting haircuts, shopping, housework, meeting new business partners for my (Rodan and Fields) side gig I'm working, I was busy! My nutrition hasn't been where I want it to be since I'm not training for a Las Vegas full marathon anymore, I've actually gained about six pounds. You know what else? I feel every bit of it when I run! I'm still training as if I'm going to run a half on same date I was scheduled to run Vegas on Nov. 12th. However, I'm trying to decide what half marathon to register for. My friend Carolyn want me to register for one out of town and do a girl's trip. Eddie just doesn't want me gone the first two week of November because that is supposably the best time for deer hunting. Yes, it's that time of year where Eddie is gone hunting a lot. That is his hobby and I'm good with that. I have my running and he supports me too. He's a great husband. He doesn't drink (only occasionally), go out with buddies or stay out late. He's everything I ever wanted in a man, husband and father. I've ran NYC Marathon the last 3 years during this time, so, this year he can have his time without interruption. If I can't find one, I may just run on my own around here that day. I have decided that starting this week, I will not eat any bread to see if that makes a difference on my weight. We shall see...
A blog about my love for running, training, healthy recipes, fitness motivation and all things in between!

Looking for Half Marathon Race
I'm still feeling a bit sore when I run and not able to run fast at all. I'm able to stay at about a 9:00-9:30 minute pace right now. I was hoping that I wouldn't be sore anymore. I mean, it's been since July 3rd! I just pray this doesn't become a chronic ache that will never go away. I was able to run on gravel ground at Trinity Trials yesterday and that always feels good on my feet. I ran 10 miles and the weather felt good. It was cloudy and about 72 degrees when I started. I haven't been able to stick to my training schedule due to work and cutting back on some miles during the week due to soreness or it getting darker outside sooner now.
