TCU Weekend

What a fun weekend!  It was all about TCU this weekend.  On Friday, I took Noah, his little cousin, Ayden and my mom to the TCU Homecoming carnival on campus.  Eddie had Firestation that day.  They had fireworks before they closed and had a great time.

Woke up Saturday morning to go for my long distance run and decided to go run the hills of TCU.  I’m not gonna lie, I was a little scared running hills at TCU today. I wasn’t going to let fear take control and wanted to see how my foot would feel. I haven’t ran these hills since June!! In the end, I was able to finish strong and ran 12 miles.  I was able to manage a 9 min.pace. My foot is getting stronger💪. It’s always a work in progress. Don’t ever give up!

I came home and Eddie decided to buy some TCU football game tickets and we took Noah with us to our first season game.  It was homecoming and Frogfest was so much fun.  We played Kansas and TCU kicked their ass!!

Love the fall weather, running outside and holidays during this time.  I finally decided to register for the Fort Worth Half Marathon which is the same day as the Las Vegas Marathon that I’m not going to do.  I’m training for a half instead and this is the one I think my feet can take.  It’s the flattest course in North Texas and I’m already running some of the course on my weekend long runs.  We’ll see how it goes.
