Well, Spring Break is over and continued to work on my training. It was nice being able to work out twice a day. I was able to do yoga, cycle, work on strength training and stay on my running schedule. I also enjoyed spending time with my family.
I'm really looking forward to this coming weekend for I and three girlfriends have registered for Zooma Texas Half-Marathon in Bastrop, TX. This race was mentioned in Runner's World magazine as being No.5 of a couple of dozen outstanding 13.1 milers to run in the nation. The best thing about it is that it's an all-woman's race located in Texas hill country at a spa resort! The magazine states, "The hilly course shows off the state's famous bluebonnet wildflowers and longhorn cattle. It's not an easy course and it will test your training, but then it's time to kick back poolside, sip wine, and share war stories while you wait for your massage."
I trained on hills this week and can't wait!! For more information check out: zoomarun.com.
