Chicago Marathon in 3 Days!!

Okay, so this week with tapering down on mileage my anxiety is trying to get the best of me.  I mean I'm about to run the Chicago Marathon which is my first time ever  and although I'm excited, I worry of the unknown.  What if the weather is bad and even though my body is ready for this, if it is hot, my time will stink.  Looking at the weather, it looks like they are predicting high of 75 and low of 60 degrees.  Will it be super windy?  They don't call it the "Windy City" for no reason.  Hmmm.  Stop it!  I just need to think of positive thoughts.  I'm happy to be going with my two girlfriends Carolyn and Juanita and making a girl's weekend trip out of this.  I can't wait to see my friend, Erin who just moved there from Texas to be with her family.  She is going to give us the grand tour of Chicago since none of us have ever been there.  I can't wait to go shopping (including at the marathon expo) and eat all the great pizza Chicago has to offer!  I can't wait when we all go together to get massages after the marathon.

I have been using Hal Higdon's marathon schedules and tweaking it to make it my own.  Below is my version of what I have to train on after Chicago Marathon in order to get ready for New York City Marathon coming up in 25 days...AYE!  This is just a sample of what I plan to do, but my body will let me know exactly what I can do.  Teaching cycle at L.A. Fitness, I know I will continue to do and will probably help wash out all of my soreness :)
