Holidays are here!


Yes, it's that time of year again.  We get caught up with the holidays and I admit at times it can be stressful.  It's a busy time of year and so easy to fall off our healthy eating habits and indulge in the holiday treats.  Yes, it's the time of year where you may gain some weight, but don't get discouraged and give up!  It's okay to indulge every now in then, but don't do it everyday.  That's the key to not gain a lot of weight.  Don't stop working out, in fact, this is probably the time to work out even more to loose calories you are eating in order to make room for more you'll be eating during all the holidays coming up!  Schedule a family fun run during this time and work on your fitness as a family.  I scheduled both a Thanksgiving Grub Run 5K and Jingle Bell Run 5K and we all had fun.

I'm starting my Fort Worth Cowtown marathon training tomorrow and that will also force me to stay on track with my eating and fitness.  I'm also doing the last week of Gladiator Camp boot camp workout every morning this week at 5:30 a.m.  Yes, that is super early, but I want to take advantage of the free month training session that was given to me.  Beside it's a total body workout and helps with strength building especially my upper body which is my weakness.


12 weeks of marathon training and healthy eating starts tomorrow.  Will I have a cheat day every once in a while..you bet.  It's the holidays :)!
