I'm Getting a Running Buddy Dog

I have decided to invest in a running buddy dog and Vizsla sounds like the perfect dog for me!
Vizsla -My Soon to be Running Buddy!  I couldn't find a breeder in Texas that had a female dog, but I was able to find one in Alabama.  These dogs are very athletic and read an article that they can run up to 30 miles non-stop...whoa!  Eddie also likes the idea that they don't shed, have that doggy smell and are trained to be good hunters too.  It a win-win for both of us!  The best part is that she'll be a running buddy that will be happy to go running with me whenever I want.  They can be trained to run without a leash and require exercise every day.  No whining about the weather, sore body or negative attitude, just happy to go out for a run.  She sounds like me!  We'll be able to go get her Valentine's Day and couldn't ask for a more perfect gift.  I'm super excited and can't wait!

I do have to be patient and wait a year before I can run with her.  This is to avoid potential future issue like hip dysplasia.  I'll do whatever it takes to keep her healthy for she'll be worth it.  Good Lord willing she'll be my long-term running buddy.

Cowtown Marathon training is going well and so far I'm injury free.  Again, I plan to use this marathon as training for Boston Marathon in April because it's a hilly course.  Besides, it's my hometown and my family is excited to go see me run it.  Eddie had lasik eye surgery and that has put him back on his training and may not be ready to run the full, but he said he'll just play it by ear.  I'm not going to pressure him, if he does, he does if not, oh well.  Running is more of my hobby and not his.  I'm just glad he tries to run and work out.  I figured out that hunting is his love sport as running is mine and I'm cool with that.
