July Arrives

This is going to be our vacation month and kinda freaking out about my running/nutrition.  I did fine in June, but vacation always makes me gain some weight.  It's vacation and I like to eat and enjoy it!  That's why every time I go on vacation I pack my running shoes and gear to run wherever we go.  I just worry about how much of it I'll be able to do.  Eddie doesn't like running as much as I do and he always worries every time I go off somewhere new.  So, he ends up going with me :) I'll never forget the year we went to Switzerland and I fell on gravel while running and scraped my knees pretty good that I almost passed out seeing my own blood!  Thank goodness Eddie was there to come to my rescue...LOL! I don't go fast or make him run 10 miles at a time, but I usually just go at his pace and we try to run at least a 5K-10K.  I'm fine with that and we really enjoy our runs talking, people watching, and stop from time to time to take pics on our route.

We plan to take our boys on a cruise to Cozumel for our family vacation this year.  They're excited for this is the first time that they have been on a cruise.  I think they have a fitness club so plan to workout every morning (well..most mornings).  Really need to watch what I eat for I know there is a lot of buffet style type of eating on these things.  I'll probably be running laps around the ship too.  I wonder how many times around it will take me to run 5 miles?  After this vacation, two weeks later Eddie and I take off for our wedding anniversary trip to Greece.  I really want to be in shape for that one!  I'm excited, but know that after this month is over it's back to the grind of back to school.  Oh well, I'm just grateful to finally have my summers back and enjoying every day!
