Dash and I ran our second and final 20 miler training run yesterday. We slept in cause I knew it would still be cold around 8:00 a.m. We didn't begin running until 8:25 a.m. I wake up everyday at 5:30, so it was nice to sleep in. The weather was cool and sunny. Since this is Dash's second time to run a 20 miler, I kinda knew where she would want to stop for a drink of water. Again, I always run at her pace and she always takes off super fast. There were lots of people out on the trail, but no races this time.
This was the only hill climb on trail run on our way back from Benbrook on our turnaround.
I always run extra happy on beautiful days like this! Dash also loves her long runs with her momma! She had 3 water stops and could of been a 8:00 minute pace, but gotta listen to her body and drink when she needs it. Longs miles are always better with my running buddy. Happy with her steady pace the whole way. Now it's time to taper down. Route 66 Marathon, I'm ready for you!
