Happy Holidays

It's a funny feeling of asking myself, "My marathon is over, so now what do I do?"  So much is happening to me both personally with work and physically with my health this month.  It's been fun doing the holiday stuff with my family.  I'm so blessed to have her healthy and will try to spend more time with her.  I continue to run and teach cycle like normal each week, but on Dec. 19th got some news and my world is about to change to the better.  I believe that things happen to us to make us grow or challenge ourselves.  God will answer our prayers on his terms and everything in our life happens for a reason.  My mom turned 75 years old this December 21st!  I'm so blessed to have her healthy and will try to spend more time with her.  Since my dad passed away 13 years ago, her kids is all she has left.  I pray the good Lord gives her many, many more healthy birthdays.  Love her!

On Tuesday, Dec. 17th  I taught my last cycle class and on Wednesday, Dec 18th I ran 6 miles as my last run for a six weeks medical leave.  Then on Friday, I get the best news from a school district I had applied for and interviewed to offer me the job I wanted!  Funny how the timing couldn't be any better!  No, I'm not dying, well at least not that I know of.  I just had to have a female medical procedure that I've been putting off for a while, but now that I'm off for Christmas break, I decided to finally take the leap of faith and just do it!

My husband, finally gave in and said okay do it because I want you healthy.  He's such a worry wart and didn't want me going through surgery, but like I said in the long run, it's for the best for both of us.  Needless to say, it's going to be a long six weeks without any runs/workouts.  I'm going to go stir crazy and will have to keep myself busy with my new job.  I'm really looking forward to working back in ISDs again.  The Principal seems really nice and I pray all goes well in my new journey with secondary education.

My running buddy Dash turned four years old December 16th.  I'll miss running with her, but Eddie said he would take her out for some short mile runs with Noah on his bike.  We got Noah a new bike and I can't wait to see him ride with me while I run with Dash.  He can run up to 12 miles with me and I love working on our fitness together.  I'm going to really watch my carb intake and may do a bit of Keto diet with Eddie just to not get crazy with gaining weight during the holidays.  I won't be able to run it off this year.  So, that will be a challenge for me!  Walking is all I can do.  In the meantime, keep on running and working on your fitness!
