Today I ran my last long distance run for the weekend before the marathon next weekend. I only had to run 8 miles today. I decided to run 4 on flat and then attack the hilly neighborhood I'm been training on for hill work and did 4 miles there. No dog to run with me this time, but there where a lot of other runners out there today. I seem to be faster now on those hills, but I know that nothing here in Texas will get me prepared for the hills of San Francisco. Nerves are starting to set in and know this will be more mentally challenging for me this time around. Yet, I still can't wait to see and run through the Golden Gate Bridge and wonder how many times my dad drove though that when he lived there. This will also be a special run for I'm running on Father's Day and it will be 7 years since he became my guardian angel. My dream as a little girl will finally come true and I am finally going to see San Francisco while doing what I love..RUN!
