I finished New York Marathon with new PR two weeks ago and already thinking of my next marathon to run. I'm scheduled to run Boston again this coming April and super excited about it. However, I also want to run Austin Marathon scheduled Feb. 15th but don't want another overuse injury like last year. Last year I ran Fort Worth Marathon in November (which qualified me for Boston 2015) then trained to run Fort Worth Cowtown in Feb. but had to drop out due to overuse injury. Through physical therapy I was able to train for Boston with only 9 weeks. My time wasn't great, but at least I finished. So, after reading this article, I may just have to settle for Austin Half Marathon to help me work on hill work and really train good for Boston this time.
