Happy New Year 2015!

I started my year with my favorite thing to do --RUN!.  Yes, I celebrated New Year's Eve with my hubby and great friends and yes, I drank a little to bring in the new year.  Hey, I'm human and every now and then I like a glass of wine or two and this was a special occasion.  So, don't feel guilty if you are a social drinker, just know that if you are training you really need to do less of it if you want to accomplish your goals.  It was nice to sleep in and woke up wanting to run, but Eddie didn't want any part of it.  Next thing I know, my running buddy Hilda text me wishing me Happy New Year.  So, I asked if she wanted to go for a short run and she jumped on it cause she said she was going stir crazy.  It was cold (in the low 30's) and it was lightly raining and thought, great this is not going to be fun.  I picked her up and she looked at me like this is crazy nodding her head, but I told her maybe it will stop when we get there.  Sure enough it was just misty when we ran and then it stopped.  We were both a little dehydrated and decided to take it nice and easy.  It was a nice, pretty run seeing all the trees with icicles on them.  We weren't the only ones out, there were a few other crazies enjoying a walk or run too.  It felt great and it was a great way to start the new year!  Happy New Year friends!!
