It's coming quick! Chicago Marathon will be here before I know it. I'll start eating nothing but homemade real food. That means no more pizza, tortilla chips to go with my hot sauce (still eating my hot sauce though), no more frozen yogurt, etc. I will also start eating 6 times a day about every 2 hours and eating smaller portions. I did this when I trained for Boston this past year and beat my New York Marathon time by 5 minutes in CRAZY cold, rainy weather too! My goal this time is to finish in 3:30 for Chicago, and ultimate goal is to get 3:26 in order to qualify for NYC Marathon 2016. That may be pushing it, but they say Chicago is a flat course so anything is possible. I now know you should never say never. I just pray to stay injury free and hope the weather cooperates in Chicago. I've never been there, but they don't call it the windy city for nothing. If there is wind, I'm hoping its behind me and not against me :)
I ran 16 miles yesterday and went to Eddie's 30th High School Reunion and wore high heels all night. My feet were killing me and my calves are super tight today. I forgot to take my flats and not smart on my part. Things we do for our men to look good...HA! I did go teach cycle class today and that seemed to take my soreness away. I also went to GRIT class for some strength work with Gina and that kicked my booty. I hope to continue going to her class every Sunday to make me stronger in my upper body. That seems to be my weakest part of my body. Chicago Marathon is three weeks away and it's time to get shredded!
