I ran my second 20 mile run yesterday and beat my time by 3 minutes from my last 20 mile run. I hope I can cut it even more for Chicago. On my turn around, I noticed the weather get warmer and that always seems to slow me down. I'm hoping for cooler weather when I run Chicago and I know that will make me run better and maybe faster too. It's two weeks away! When I finished this time, I notice the bottom of my right foot didn't hurt like the first time. I think it's because I was trying out my new tennis shoes. I also added a foam cushion for my left foot to keep me balanced since my right foot is longer than my left. Yes, I guess I'm somewhat deformed. My physical therapist says that child bearing will do this to you as well as we get older too. So weird.
I taught my cycle class today and did a 30 minute GRIT strength class afterwards. I wanted to go to yoga, but did some housework and grocery shopping instead. I also went to visit my mom and family for a football game cookout. I have cooked and planned out my meals for the week. Sundays are food prep day for the week and makes it easy to just grab and go. Clean eating is such a discipline, but you can do it as long as you focus on your goals. Mine is to break a 3:30.
