Rascal and Dash having a lazy Sunday.
On another note, Dash has been such a joy! We have never spent this much on a dog before and much less drive 10 hours to Alabama to go get her. Eddie and I are acting like we finally got the baby girl we never had. She is now microchipped and up to date on her shots. We have scheduled private training lessons at Pet's Smart next week and hired a lady from Dallas to help train her one day for an hour. She sleeps between us each night and Eddie says he will never spank her. I feel like she is training us. It's silly. Wednesday was the first day without either of us home for we both worked. We made sure the boys would let her out before they took off to school and came home. I also gave mom my house key to check on her. Eddie kept calling/texting me saying he had separation anxiety and I would catch myself looking at the breeders weekly videos of her as she developed looking for her. Later Eddie said he did the same thing..LOL! We joined a Facebook Vizsla pet owner group and it has been very helpful as to what to expect and sounds like we picked the perfect dog for us. Rascal is cute and plays with her, but she just wants to bite him. Once he's had enough he climbs to the top of the couch where she can't reach him. He also comes to my rescue when she tries to bite my shoe laces or pant legs. He comes between us and distracts her from me and lets her bite him instead, but they never hurt each other. It's so cute. The hardest part for me is to be patient for at least two years before she can run with me. I'm sure it will be worth it!
