It Finally Snowed in Texas

We finally got some snow yesterday afternoon.  It wasn't much and it's always nice to see that since we don't get much of it here in Texas.  This morning I ran 16 miles in 30 degree weather.  I waited to go run a little later since it was going to be in the 20s early morning.  It was cold, but the sun was out the whole time so it felt good once I got to running.  There wasn't a lot of people out on the trail. Oh my bed felt really warm and cozy and it was hard to get out of bed thinking how cold it is outside.  However, I wanted to see and run in the snow.  I was glad I did.  It was a peaceful run seeing a little snow on the ground and parts of the river frozen.  There was not a cloud in the sky and knew that the sun will melt it all away soon.

Eddie came home from hunting last night and we decided to go out for dinner.  I ate some fish/shrimp and steamed veggies over a bed of rice and garlic mashed potatoes.  And had some jalapeño cornbread to go with it.  Well, I probably should of eaten more carbs because I had taken care of business before my run like I usually do, but I have to run to McDonalds for another pit stop halfway through!  Thank goodness cause I almost didn't make it!  I know TMI, but writing down what I eat is a good way to track my progress.  I highly recommend you do the same to see what works for you and what doesn't.  I'll stick to my usual thin pizza or pasta (gluten free) next time...LOL!  We are all different so make sure you listen to your body and learn from your mistakes.

I also discovered a bruise on my foot when I took my shoes off. Not sure what that's about, but will keep track of it. Weird!

Keep on running!
