The Big Day is Tomorrow

It was so nice to sleep in today and not run.  Yesterday and today are my rest days.  I will go to yoga class to get a good stretch and relax to get my mind right.  I have completed my ultra training marathon and now I just wait until I cross that start line to see how it all will play out!  I ran about 500 miles with this training and have never ran that much before.   I've very happy to say that I was able to stay injury free.  This last week of training I was just took it easy and enjoyed running with my family and my dog, Dash.  I'm so happy she is back home from her dog obedience training.  She was gone for two weeks, but it was so worth it.  She came back a much calmer dog, but I have to make sure she gets her run in too.  Otherwise, she goes stir crazy, kinda like her owner....LOL!

I'm a little worried about the weather tomorrow.  It looks like it's going to be 60s, but when I start running it will be mid 40s which is perfect, but then it climbs up pretty quick.  I plan to maybe start off a little faster and then finish slower, because the weather will force me to go slow anyway. Wait, no I won't . I will just run an easy comfortable pace and if I have extra energy in the end I'll try and finish strong.  My goal is to not do nothing stupid and to just finish injury free.  I don't want to get caught up with pace or time because I'm using this run as my long training run before I run Washington, D.C. Marathon in two weeks!!!  Yes, call me CRAZY, but I've always wanted to run DC and that will one I hope to PR in.  We shall see...
