Slowly Coming Back
Today my physical therapist wanted me to run 15 miles without the KT tape. I was nervous again and started out really slow. I'm just happy to know that I can run again without pain so going slow didn't bother me. We had Spring Break this week and perfect time to work on my core, strength training and of course running. Also, this week is the first time to run 4 times a week vs. 3 times a week, so that was another change in my training. I'm not sticking to my Boston Bound training schedule because of my injury, so I have to tweak it and do what Dr. Crane and my physical therapist, Kelley tell me to do if I want to run Boston injury\pain free. I have a new favorite song I run to called "Animals" by Martin Garrix. I had to calm myself down to keep from running fast. It has an awesome beat to it! I was able to pick up pace towards the end and finished strong and pain free..yea! I finished in 2:12:15 at an 8:46 pace per mile.
