Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Today I was scheduled to run 20 miles, but that didn't happen due to thunderstorms all morning. So, I decided to run 10 miles on the treadmill and then did a cycle class at the gym. I worked on intervals and speed work on the treadmill. I asked the cycle instructor about how many miles did he think we did in class and he said usually about 12 miles for 60 minutes. So, I felt better after I heard that. However, I wasn't exhausted like when I run 20 miles. I guess because it's not constant pounding on my feet the whole time and not hard on my knees too. Either way, it was better than doing nothing at all. Boston is two weeks away and need to move forward. I bought a new Garmin Forerunner 620 and was super excited to use it, but now I have to wait for better weather now. At first I thought, rain, rain go away, but we needed the water. However, later that afternoon on our way to pick up Noah from grandmas and Mason from his mother's house, we were in a car accident. Eddie was driving and Fabian and his dog Raschal were in the back seat. Thank God, Noah wasn't with us. Eddie hit a puddle on the freeway, lost control and hit the concrete medium on his side and we did a 360 turn in the middle of the freeway. I was just waiting to get hit by an 18 wheeler or other vehicles. We were very lucky that no other cars ran into us and we didn't hit anyone else. Everyone is okay, I just got a little whip lash and it freaked me out! Eddie managed to pull over to the side and we got out and saw that the whole front bumper was damaged, but he was able to drive it back home. Eddie was very worried about me and wants me to go get checked out by the doctor in the morning. It could of been worse and thank God we are all okay.
